I also received an unsolicited list of single families from the Agent which I could care less about (I'm looking for Multi Families as expressed initially with the Agent), and was told that the Agent will setting up appointments for my "listed properties" but I have not received any APODs, I don't feel I have enough information to crunch numbers ahead of time and further prioritize my list, I have 2 days until I fly to the area of interest.

In two months I plan on flying out there to try and meet with other investors, agents, banks, & hard money lenders.

just for comparison look at Vegas at 350k taxs will be about 150 a month with maybe no HOA.. rents close to the samenewer stock  NO FLOOD insurance .. no state income tax .. although if your in CA your going to pay tax were you live. plus you can drive to your investment in 5 to 6 hours compared to having to spend money to fly there.Just sayin.. 

I am a pilot with low hours (under a hundred), pilots with such low hours do not have the requirements to fly professionally.

You're getting some great answers here, but some of them don't fly in my state.

Other cities around Hoover, Vestavia, Leeds, Homewood as examples all have permit departments and will cite you (and shut your job down) if you don't have a permit. 

Florida was late to the land game  but just look at Lehigh Acres and Coral Gables land plays in the day as well. but these actually have homes on themWhen I fly myself to Palm springs I go over the Tehachapi pass at the end of the San Joaquin valley and jump over to the Palmdale area and from 8 to 10k feet you can see all the roads going to nowhere along with the isolated desert dweller in their MH..
