I've done a few deals on my own in and around Detroit, but I've had to dial my investing activity WAY back due  to my W2 and other personal obligations, so I'm now leaning heavily on the skills & knowledge that the Upside team brings to keep building my portfolio.This has been a fun thread to read and I love seeing the positive rapport that they've built amongst their investors.

Options you might think through would be appreciation - is your area / property  appreciating to where it might make sense to hold onto the property for it to build value.  

If I have a ground up build I paid cash for, can I use a DSCR loan to take a mortgage out on that house to build a rental home on a lot we have next door?

Stay in the job and snowball all my mortgages and let life coast or get off a job still snowball slowly and live life slower.Initially, when I purchased my first apartment building 10 years ago, I did it because I was curious.

Compare what you see to the deed etc - there could be a shared driveway or some other easement.Also if the building is occupied you will be dealing with an eviction as well so you will have to factor that into your costs/bid.

For SFH New Tampa is good if you're looking for newer builds, I also recommend Carrollwood and Citrus Park for SFH as well as the others I stated. 

Find properties such as duplexes, triplexes, and small apartment buildings on BiggerPockets Marketplace and local listings.

Not sure your strategy here but just throwing some ideas your way.Check building permits to see what's happening in town.

I dealt with this for months until my inability to find a large construction company to build a double sided fire escape on this property forced me to sell it.

I'm brand new to Bigger Pockets but not so brand new to the real estate game.
