I told wife to take the year off and stay home with our new born baby.  4 months into it, her former boss, who was now a CFO of a hi-tech company came by to visit our new born baby, offered wife a job.

we actually visited with an attorney friday and discussed this.

A visit to one of their offices shows people walking through the door and picking up a list of properties in a box and leaving with that list without speaking to anyone.

We've been using Assurant for the past couple of years.

I wish you could visit Davao City one of these days and see why it's considered as one of the retirement havens in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

If I was in the pink postcard business I can assure you that pink would be the best color, hands down.

And since you're buying in a solid suburban neighborhood at prices that are still well off the 2006 highs (presumably), and well below replacement costs, you are "nearly" assured of at least remaining flat on appreciation, and likely 2-3% annual growth.

Awesome city and one of my favorite places to visit.
