Don’t spend all your time on the peripheral aspects of your business. 95% of your thoughts and actions right now need to be about marketing.

However, there is one aspect of the concept I am unsure about.

As a real estate agent who flips homes and operates buy-and-hold rentals I think the aspect of operations that has given me the best feel for what you're asking is flipping.  

I would like to know as I am new to this aspect of the real-estate game. 

There are also more stringent zoning and building regulations on some aspects of the building code.  

Analyze what your strengths are and what you'd be able to do well and efficiently and also figure out what aspects of the renovation you won't be able to do.

He is great in every aspect of real estate.
