My biggest fears with properties like these are making allowances for big ticket expenses when cash flow is good but small. 

The biggest drawback for most people is that you normally can't get into the property to have a look before your purchase. 

The National Association of Realtors is one of the biggest lobbying groups and there is no way they'd let this happen.

Also, if you buy new construction townhomes, many builders are offering some really good incentives right now to cover closing costs, upgraded finishes etc, plus you get a warranty on the unit.

When I got older and started seeing people with even more severe disabilities limited to minimal work and life experiences (like needing a care taker and the biggest "position" they can strive for is cleaning tables at the local mall) I quickly realized how lucky I still am. 

However, my biggest concern is the age of the home. it was built in 1925.

My biggest piece of advice is to CHOOSE YOUR MARKET WISELY.

Are others persuaded by the argument, made by @Jason Hartman and others, that the pandemic will accelerate the trend of people moving away from high-density living in the biggest cities and into more single-family homes in the middle of the country where prices are cheaper and the risk of a virus spreading is lower?
