Would a private money lender be the best option?

In my career so far, I've bought and sold several businesses, and raised circa $80 million for both privately-owned and publicly-listed companies.For years I've been passively involved in Real Estate, renting out a property for decent cash flow, and continuing to educate myself for the "big push" into REI.

Dear BP - I was recently discussing my real estate goals with family over the holiday and another form of raising private money came up.

I am looking to take leap in my business this year by seeking out private money in the form of promissory notes so that I can pursue more and better opportunities.

Before you do that though you might want to build some of that knowledge and skill, perhaps by using private lenders on your first few.When it comes to financing for continuing your buy and hold strategy you could have a look at using the Buy Rent Rehab Refinance... 

That created a lot of issues for fund managers, I was one of them, as much of that private equity was leveraged with institutional debt.
