Hello BP, I am looking around to rent a one-bed apartment in Dallas, and seems the rent is gone through the roof last 6-12 months.

I am planning to move to Dallas.

All over DFW is growing, but there are certain factors (like the I35 eternal construction, or barriers to growth such as being adjacent to south Dallas) that would slow down the expansion vs other areas.

I am not finding many options in the area so I have also searched in and around San Antonio,  Austin and Dallas.

But I work in the Dallas/Ft.

@Joshua McIntireSadly, it’s not that straightforward.The metrics vary by location and asset class.Cap rates can range from 3% in Los Angeles, Dallas Ft Worth or Austin to 8% or higher in small “podunk” town locations.
