Overall they have a very good platform but not enough staff to handle the amount of homeowners they are bringing on.

I totally understand the instinct of landlords to expect that things will be in worse shape with constant turnover of airbnb guests, but the truth is: the space is cleaned every couple of days from top to bottom; I'm immediately aware of any repairs that need to be tackled; airbnb guests are typically gone most of the day and don't spend much time in the space; because it is an online community that relies heavily on reviews, it's very hard for irresponsible guests to remain on the platform (they would immediately get bad reviews and then other hosts wouldn't accept bookings.

You can also utilize platforms like Airbnb and post a request for a local co-host that can also do this for you.

As far as the taxes incurred by guests, airbnb platform has done a wonderful job of doing the collection and remission for you based on your county.

Rent manager is also a very robust platform and has extensive additional tools for property management.
