I haven't signed anything official with anybody but I don't want to do anything questionable either.Is submitting a "proof of funds" standard practice?

Sure, I had studied the auction business for five years before I bid on anything, and I had followed every foreclosure auction in my county during that five year period and had searched title on every one of them just for practice, but I didn't even know what I didn't know.

I admit, I learned the hard way, being a finance/accounting/economics type, I went through the same thing other students of RE do, trying to apply other business practices in this matter to RE investing.  

It has practical advice and is quite comprehensive.Also, introduce yourself to the neighbors.

I see this as a great opportunity to meet great people and to learn about the industry, both practices and in local real estate.Thanks again, and hopefully in the coming years I will learn enough to be able to contribute to this community!
