My plan is to build my network over there which includes a  Investor Realtor, Mortgage agent, property manager and contractor.  

I figured this is the best place to start and while I wait for responses continue to research my area.Things I haven't done yet-learned the buying process-read and understand the contracts-find a good contractor-find a hard money lender-figured out what I don't knowThanks for taking the time to read my post, if you have any suggestions on reading material that would be awesome :).

We got a contractors quote to redo the 1st unit bath and kitchen for 15k full gut, make really nice.

I am having trouble finding siding contractors that offer reasonable quotes.

Would his be ordinary income as part of his construction business as he did most of the work and paid his employees as contractors. 

I'm glad i started learning about the industry, rather work now to enjoy later😃

Find good people (realtor, property manager, contractor, etc) to hook up with and it will make the road much smoother. 

I am having a builder and a contractor come to see the property next week and am wondering what questions I should ask.

However, the contractor that did the work is not being very responsive.
