I would not pull out if you would lose that much money. i dont know the Austin area but from what i have heard there are alot of tech companies. my bet is even if the markets go down Austin is going to be fine or atleast better then most. if you already have 30k, you can look at it as if you have 6% of the house price you can lose before you really lose anything(if you walk away you lose the 30k anyway). theres is also the bonus of having until 2023. if the market takes a hit you have time to make it back.
