Both situations have taken place in the same foreclosure auction, but on different dates.The first is a property that sold at a tax auction for $20k, but has been relisted on a sheriff's auction for $105k!

So the first trust deed holder put the building into foreclosure with a sale date in March. it also has a second lien holder that the realtor says will accept a short sale. he says the total of the two liens is over $500k.How do I work this so that it makes sense?

Typically, those are VA or FHA foreclosures I believe.

If the lender involved thinks the history of transactions seems off (i.e. a foreclosure and a buy back after) do more digging.
