Hi Kate, That you are asking where to start, might mean hiring a GC would be best.You are more likely to get if completed in a workmanlike manner with the least hassles.Then you just need to know how to pay him intelligently so as not to get burned, and how to get lien releases and inspect the work yourself before paying.Just my 2 cents.
