There is a company based in West Seneca, New York called RentPrep who do all the background checks you need for a flat rate per applicaton, very reasonable rates. 

I restore (cabinets and electronics) old radios for fun, know how to do wiring and plumbing better than code, and still do some of what little work is needed on our cars.
