We’ll be completely renovating this, doing things the right way - egress windows, canned lightening, updated electrical.

@Nabeel Haider oh sorry, forgot to mention that I plan on living in the property while updating it.

With one of the units being empty, we were able to update the kitchen, bathroom and apply a better paint scheme.By doing this we were able to secure a tenant @ $700 a month and now we are renting each unit @ $750.

I just updated the post, since I seem to have missed the fact that the asset in question was a new build.

Some of the repairs/updates we planned on doing was:-Update flooring in all rooms (vinyl/carpet)-New paint in all rooms-Paint cabinets in kitchen-Update appliances-New skirting-Repair roofBased on this list, any tips?

Or we can buy a decently updated sfh and perhaps build an ADU, but the costs associated with that (lumber, permits, etc..) are probably just as exorbitant.
