Have any of you that has borrowed money from a private investor ever heard of them requiring you to pay for a PPI insurance plan because of money laundering statues?

I understand the same could happen with a private loan but on the flip side, I also don't want to be giving away more than I have to if I am the one doing all the work.

During this time, I have owned and managed a private portfolio of residential income properties in Carlsbad, California and have accumulated a wealth of landlording knowledge.

I've got private money to invest and I'd love to figure out how to purchase Foreclosures to rehab.

For 2, I found companies such as praxcap but how can I be sure it is not too risky to put 50-100K in one small private company?

I don't have a large sphere of influence yet so I am thinking private money may be out of the question for the near future.
