I am a part of the SFC and was lobbying with Jeff Watson and a couple other investors back in September.

We lose the theater business but pick up the lake crowd and the amusement park crowd.Advertising - this is a sticky one as many people are disciples of heavy advertising.

We do have interest in getting back into the city (food, theater, shopping, etc), so that may be in the cards.So in short, I'd say yes, but I don't know if I want to base the numbers on requiring us to live there to make it work.

The condo is in bicycle distance of a university, walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants, movie theater, and 15 minute drive to the beach.  

AB1506 was removed from the ballot thanks to lobbying by property owner associations around the state. 

In my spare time, I enjoy theater, camping, cycling, and spending time with my wife and daughter.

Having been historically, since WWII, known as a military town rife with red light districts, X-rated movie theaters, "friendly ending" massage parlors, drugs, thugs, and gang activities for decades, they are now loving and arms wide open to the TOT and relishing in the fact that they are the "Northern gateway" to San Diego and the first stop that folks can make after leaving Orange County and traveling through Camp Pendleton with no other options.What with all the traffic congestion starting miles North of Oceanside on I-5 and extending on some weekends all the way south to the city of San Diego along with the fact that it's the only coastal  North/South thoroughfare you can use to get here is starting to make Oceanside a much more desirable choice for many travelers and tourists.
