Yes, the new cars get a little better gas mileage, but what does it take (environmentally speaking) to manufacture those cars; destroy the clunkers, destroy all the parts which could have been recycled, etc.Furthermore, I would like to know how effective the clunkers program is at enslaving those lease able to afford it with more debt.
