I doubt you would get it because too much time has lapsed but it would at least present a down side to them continuing.I think fining them $100 and raising rent $50 was probably a fair solution, but that doesn't matter.

In my area being additional insured does not mean you find out if the policy lapses, it means that a lawyer can't come back and say this situation isn't covered.

You can't afford a policy lapse do to the mailman dropping a letter either, servicers wire funds or run automatic pay systems with verified receipts.
