I would at least contact the builder, a roof failure at six years is unacceptable.

@Michael Lear obviously “getting your money back” isn’t sufficient but I doubt the removal cost and the actual damage of their failure should exceed 10k.

But there are many more stories of failure that people don't brag about on here. 

If you start off unfocused, you're setting yourself up for failure.
