And this is where a more boutique firm can tip the scales - as long as they have the demonstrated experience and knowledge bank.  

They've just been slow to catch up to the STR changeover from someone crashing on your couch to full-on short-term rental only properties that are essentially a boutique hotel. 

Think a boutique style coffee shop, a restaurant, tasting room etc..

BTW new updates in addition to what I mentioned in that post, a new shipping container boutique hotel is being built called Wander Hotel / another trendy new restaurant is coming in from Landers, they bought out the building of an old Chinese restaurant.

If that does not sound appealing you can try and join a boutique firm in your area.

So, for us that have a running business, multiple properties, boutique hotels, etc. the asset protection is a whole different ball game and not everyone realizes that.

Run like a boutique hotel (remote style) and you'll be sitting fine for a good while!

Str has done really well for us so getting into the small (boutique) hotel space seems like the natural next step 

Lovely neighborhoods and quaint boutique shops and whatnot, but tons of dumpster-diving and filth everywhere.
