Wanting BP expert advice on Myrtle Beach
Hi BP Family,
I am looking at possibly purchasing a sizeable (50+ unit) one block from the beach motel in Myrtle Beach to rehab and convert to Short Term Rental units (its permitted under zoning).
Great location. Very near to beach and in the thick of things.
This is my first foray away from straight apartments/long term rentals, so would appreciate any tips or buyer beware input.
The units are well priced, and even if I bombed and had to go with straight long term rents, could probably make it work - as I am told from many sources that MB is the fastest growing city in the US at the moment.
What say you, Bigger Pockets friends?
Thanks!
Glenn

Would look into Mike Sjrogen (@the_airbnbguy)'s curriculum regarding boutique hotels and STRs. I think he could give you a lot of great advice/guidance regarding the best ways to tackle and strategize this project.
