If you said you wanted to get a new truck because the girl down the street thinks trucks are awesome, so you are going to drop $50k on one to impress this girl, my answer would sound like my dad when I was teenager: "get your priorities straight...".  

I did take time to reflect “did I think or do I think money or people with money are bad” and I think potentially in my teenage years I saw some of those thoughts and then around 23 I saw a shift as I experienced amazing generosity as a missionary and made more relationships with people far in their careers.

-I paid my teenage kid to create digital marketing materials for my realtor marketing.

My kids actively fight over who gets which bunk, even into the teenage years!
