Working for me to overcome those obstacles: determination that will see me through hard times, a creative mind that will find a way when none presents itself, hard work and discipline enough to take what little education, capital, connections, skills, and experience I do have and make it work.I'm fascinated by REI and believe I can be successful in this market given enough hard work and perseverance.

No one was hurt and everything has worked out well thus far.Instead of the aforementioned approach to the 5-unit building - I've simply used some of the insurance $ to go the traditional purchase route.That being said - I had it appraised for 230k......and in 1 year- I can refinance the building if it makes sense.This whole process has been a fascinating learning experience - and I've also realized how much more work a commercial property is to close on than a residential!!!

I've timidly been sitting on the sideline for a week or so, trying to understand how this forum site operates and it's so fascinating! 

@Alfred Swindell education is education... you can get it any way you want.... if you want to pay for it pay for it.. if you want it for free your at the right place..there is nothing new in Real estate basics there are new laws for sure.. on line or a place like BP is not the place to learn the laws.. just look at any wholesaling thread  :)But one needs to have a reality check... for whatever reason and its promulgated here and with guru's  there is this fascination that our industry is a no money no credit get rich industry.. and well that may be true in some rare instance's its not reality.

I have a fascination with what CA would be like without all the extreme consumer protections.  

Greece received the honor of being the first major country to default on an IMF loan.

I've always been fascinated by it but haven't done it myself yet. 

no one ever questioned him about the 500 days.Everything seems to be gravitating towards this september and the US appears to be ground zero for this upcoming crisis.we have already seen the first rumbles with the shanghai market collapse and the greece debacle.

So hope to read some fascinating stories that people have been accomplishing.

The biggest issue w the stock market right now is companies are posting growth and profits but their stock is continuing to drop based on oil prices, raising and lowering of the dollar value, external factors like greece and china.
