Any folks have a foot on the commerical side?

If I purchase a commercial property that as rental apartments, can I live there and purchase it as my primary resident?

tl;dr buying 50% of a commercial building based off a market value from 2020 ($790k from a Professional BPO).I have an interesting opportunity to invest in my business partners commerical building (industrial building zoned for recreational marijuana).

But triplex or up is considered as commerical.

@Dave HaleviThere are lots of ways to learn about commerical real estate.If you really want to take a deep dive to obtain a thorough understanding, i would recommend the CCIM program. 5 week long intensive courses.

so i sold them all and boom my fico goes up sky high which really does not matter all that much in what I do since we use non fico reporting commerical banks for our lending needs. but its nice on the personal resi and second home to get best rates out there. 

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a commerical/portfolio lender that I check into?

If your meeting buyer who is going to buy a multi million dollar facility IE  MF  Commerical storage whatever then nice appearance is warranted..

Commerical is an entirely different animal than residential Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?
