If you literally have no clue, don’t put your money anywhere until you have something you want to do… there’s a wealth of free knowledge here on BP, on YouTube, podcasts, books, etc… get inspired, and narrow down what you’d like to do, and go fro there. 

As you start to narrow your strategy this gets less cumbersome. 

Given the number of available options that each city has I am narrowing my options down to either New Orleans or Chicago. 

Narrow down your goals, ie: my goal is to own 15 properties in 5 years starting with no money You will naturally learn real world experiences and pros/cons through your journey of buying property 

I don't use a high level % on anything I can narrow more closely.

My biggest hurdle is narrowing buy box.

Usually the goal will help narrow down markets.

Is there a service out there that will narrow it down on a map so that I get a list of say a 10 by 10 block area?

At the same time I started to narrow my learning focus into multi-family, through content produced by BP, Grant Cardone,  @Michael Blank, and @Gino Barbaro In February I started reaching out to local brokers and building relationships, while also talking to several folks about partnering together if a deal could be found.

I live in an area where that doesn't apply, but when we do showings we get all of the info, narrow it down, check references for those that are good and then choose the one who we think is the best.
