my long term goal is financial freedom, but beyond that I can't honestly say I have a crystal clear vision of what exactly I want my portfolio to look like.

However, there is the lingering thought that the security of a W2 job allows me more stability, with less freedom. 

How many houses will it take to get to financial freedom?

I am a social studies teacher for my W-2 job, but want to grow my real estate portfolio for long term wealth and financial freedom! 

We are looking to buy our first property by the end of the year and like you keep building on our financial freedom!

They did the 51/49 split to give him more freedom to make decisions without having to have his wife present.My wife's W2 job makes her unavailable most of the time, so I am curious what the ramifications are if we chose to do a 50/50 partnership or a 51/49 partnership. 

It's about 5 minutes from North Conway.One thing to be careful of is the entire area seems to be going through growing pains and as a result STR regulation discussions are being discussed or are in place by Jackson, Madison, Freedom, Kearsarge Lighting District, Conway, Albany (I think), and now Bartlett.  

There are a lot of avenues I came across in real estate to achieve financial freedom, however, it seems like you need to be guided by someone who has done it, or shadow someone.
