Spouse Partnership Dilemma

My wife and I started a partnership LLC. We are trying to figure out how to split up ownership, should we do 50/50 or 51/49? Our friends do investment properties but the husband is the primary person that does the work and managing. They did the 51/49 split to give him more freedom to make decisions without having to have his wife present.

My wife's W2 job makes her unavailable most of the time, so I am curious what the ramifications are if we chose to do a 50/50 partnership or a 51/49 partnership.  I am curious what the pros and cons of each are.  Thanks!

My wife and I are managers of our management LLC. Either one of us can sign on behalf of the LLC.

    Talk to your attorney.
