I do not want partners in owning the real estate.I have very strong relationships with contractors in CT in all fields as I was a plumber there for 4 years, and still have family there/visit, which is why I prefer CT (and California is expensive for now).

that's a wise move.. and the weather is better than areas that are prone to thunderstorms and high humidity ( Houston) and severe cold.plus is a fun place to visit and no income tax if you can take residency..

Im kind of caught between seeing what John has to offer (who isn't a legit window guy) but seems like he can really help with the pricing or pay a bit more and go with an actual window specialist, pay a bit more but have that guarantee its going to get done right and look good with a warrantee.
