Adding to the appeal of the area is the development of Silverdale which has added a new shopping center that features Forever 21, Total Wines & More, & Chipotle; and renovating older shopping centers that have brought in notable stores like H&M and already hosting Kohl's, Macy's, and Barnes & Nobles.

So the plan is to move to this new locale and invest my time and what I’ve saved with a seasoned local and learn.

This is an older house, they usually comes with hidden problems.

Not the greatest renters, generally older houses, etc.

I think that getting along with others will come as you get older and you gain more confidence.

Mandarin is just over the bridge from St Johns and you can find some older homes there that can be good buy and holds with a little bit of work and they're still in a stable area in a decent price range. 

There are some solid older neighborhoods with those colonial traditional homes, but they aren't really rental properties.
