Increasing Condo Insurance instead of Umbrella - Thoughts?
12 January 2020 | 5 replies
After doing research I had originally planned to get Umbrella Insurance however the premiums are coming in very high, mostly because they require auto insurance which I don't currently have or need (I live in the city and drive a company car that has its own insurance). In short, for a $1M Umbrella policy they're saying I would have to pay $1399 in various premiums, $900 of which is for the auto insurance alone.

Townhouses, Single Family and more premium properties can go for more but when dealing with under $150,000 properties or small multifamily properties those rent numbers can ballpark you on your underwriting for Washington County, MD and Franklin County, PA.I have been stuck at home but evaluating nearly every property in the cities i look at regularly, i have been using Redfin to pull sales numbers for the last 2-3 years for zip codes in those counties to find trends and help me ballpark my ARV (confirmed by my realtor ultimately).
