Corporate Housing By Owner (CHBO) is a listing marketplace where people looking for housing can search on their site. 

Yes you have more expenses with repairs for college housing but I find the revenue/room easily justifies the expenses at least in my market place.

Again, the HVAC contractor with a CO sniffer can help diagnose where it is coming from.Finally, the simplest solution for detection is to get a combo smoke / CO detector to replace your existing smoke detectors. 

Again, if your budget is tight you might also check craig's list/Facebook marketplace and see if someone else has removed cabinets from a unit in good condition that you could have restored.
