So if a 30 year note had 200 payments left and you bought 60 payments, then those 60 would come to you right now and the last 140 back to the original owner.A seller will give you a contract to sign and they may have their servicer handle the closing.

I am based in California but investing out-of-state right now.I need advice on a great property I just got under contract in Avondale community of Chicago. 

Having same issue looking for attorneys that do assignments. this is so frustrating because i have learned to generate leads ez enough but even if i get property under contract i still have half a deal because i cant seem to locate key people to consumate deals so i can complete transactions.

The main pitfall is with lease options extending beyond 180 days, which are deemed executory contracts.  

The additional amount could be due to the lack of payments, legal fees, a possible refinance, and/or home equity loan.
