I'm looking at having someone design me a website for people in my local area to list the properties they are trying to rent out on.

-East Nashville caught fire years ago and is now one of the hottest ZIP codes in the country (featured in the New York Times, etc.)

@Travis Daggett to clarify: I'm viewing about twenty or so properties, all of which fit a specific business plan, but the final say on which property we choose is based on my contractor/designer.

Did you design the rehab yourself..like picking out materials tile, granite, cabinets, paint or did your contractor take care of all the particulars?

Zillow I like more than others because of the map feature and allows you to visualize anyone close by quickly.but those are asking ratesis there a source for how much they actually rented for, and when?

I rented to a lot of young people- several college students, a high school teacher, a single mom & kid- they were mostly interested in living in that particular neighborhood, I don't think the apartment vs. duplex thing figured in to it.I also agree that separate(ish) yard is a nice feature if you can get it.

My interest has always been in real estate and good design though, and am looking to take the plunge into real estate utilizing my experience as a GC.

A second advantage to Dropbox is that it has a cool feature that enable all the photo's (and video I think) taken by my smartphone to be immediately uploaded to my Dropbox folder.
