This is just another example of government stepping in and creating laws that hurt honest people and investors just because of a few crooks.In my opinion, there are many other ways to curtail the crooks without hindering us "real investors"Shame on TX government.

DFWREIN was run by a guy who just got snagged by the FBI for stealing investors cash... this isn't a joke, it's the truth... in Dallas you can go to the Roddy Roundups and there is also another REI network www.opendoorrei.com which is a great place to meet people in the RE investment circle.

At the contract price the property was a good deal, not a steal by any means, and if you take into account the work needed the returns would be just a fraction of what they would be as the property was presented.In a situation like this I know I was right to walk away, but I was made to feel wrong for even putting it under contract.

Better deal for me...some of that money will be coming back to me in the form of rent, "keeping it in the family" so to speak.Now, he put up the new fence and it is standing up straight but it is crooked as a dogs leg!
