This is especially true when you're cleaning up plates in the sink, and chunks of food are sitting in the Disposall grinder, but you haven't turned it on yet; the water piles up in the grinder and then runs down the dishwasher drain connection.If whatever is going down the sink already smells funky, then the funk will transfer to the dishwasher; if it's something like a chunk of fat or meat that works its way into the dishwasher, it might smell OK now, but get funky after it sits for a while. 

We got burned by our second year of tenants and a whole mess of HOA headaches.

Hold on to the property and at your rate of burn on it you'd probably lose the same amount of money over the next 6-7 years. 

I think they were burning something plastic. 

And do not go over to the property personally, burn all clothing. 

@Jamie Burns its extremely rare for an employer plan to allow you to roll/transfer funds out before you leave them.

A toilet with a slow leak can burn through thousands of gallons of water per month.Inspect the property and see if that's the culprit.

More info is that I have my escrow check coming (7K) and a nice fat bonus from work coming at around 14K!

Mainly that’s spiteful on my part- because I’ve been burned by people like that in the past.

It would cover his clothes and possibly your building if it burned down due to his negligence.
