We can't even get to the eviction/possession part until the sale is confirmed and we own it. 

Why not allow us to possess our own money after a sale and if it is not reinvested within the 120 days subject it to capital gains.

Sell your possessions and give to the poor.

@Karen Margrave  you would think.. but those that got burnt out have legal lots of record and can rebuild.. which is already starting to happen.. yes at least 20 of my friends lost their homes and all possessions and just barely got out with their lives.. and these are 5 to 15k sq ft homes with all the trappings of wealth that go along with it.. you need security to keep folks from rooting around looking for diamonds  etc.it was devastating I drove around the area last month ( my mom lives there)we are working on our Rohnert park property and Sonoma got hit even harder and no special favor.. still have to do our focused EIR.. but looks like we are going to get commercial on the bottom and 3 stories of apartments or condo's on top.. so it should be a pretty cool project.... like the article I have owned this since 1994....

If a landlord had to pay 20x-100x the monthly rent to regain possession of a property, it would crash the rental market of California.

Some have a deeper lower cabinets depending on clearances.This apartment was occupied by a young couple on welfare (he worked off the books) who always paid on-time etc but smoked inside for many years before we took possession.

Change your mindset to getting the property back in your possession as soon as possible.

But I also have no way of knowing if they would, out of the blue, file an adverse possession claim of the portion of our land on "their side" of the fence, which I guess we all believed to be their property.

This seems like a risky deal, but a good one because there's someone who might have some title to the land who wants me to have it, the quit claim deed is so cheap and there are no back taxes.Note: I do not have enough capital to fund a construction project immediately, but I could start the adverse possession statute of limitations by fencing and clearing the lot.What am I missing?
