I am still deep in the research phase of real estate investment and would love some guidance on what path to take. 

I decided on Charlotte after conducting a ton of research on the top markets in the US, and taking a variety of factors into consideration:Home ValuesAverage Rent / Income ratiosUnemployment RatesCrimePopulationEconomic GrowthNet Migrationand most importantly, where we'll be happyI started out with Bigger Pockets own excellent 2017 Market Analysis, and added my own numbers to help me give more weight to the factors I felt were most important.

But do some more research on cost segregation, because it is definitely not all summed up on this post! 

I would encourage you to do your own research and speak with a CPA on this.- Josh

Based on my very limited research the west side is probably the best, however many of the multi families are in the downtown area near the border and in less desirable areas.

I have recently begun researching real estate investing, and would like to get into it as a possible career.

I am not 100% on board yet,  I have more research to do. 

Also the property will likely remain on the contaminated list for a very long time, if not forever.Might be a great deal, might be a total loser - either way do you research before you jump into a meth house project.

I did some research online and found out about this meeting tomorrow in Standish but I haven’t heard of anything on here about it.
