They are not listed to buy together but I would try to get a "package deal" of sorts.My question is since these are all "separate" and not under the same roof, would having 8 units on the same street be considered multifamily residents or commercial real estate?

Take a good week to learn the basics, it is much quicker and you'll learn properly instead of trying to piece things together for yourself from forum comments, blogs or podcasts, even when they call such materials the "basics" it's not the basics of real estate and everything you need to know isn't going to be contained in those sources.......promise you!

Subject should read "New To BP"Hello I'm really glad to had found you folks at BP so many questions answered in so little time it really is a "treasure trove" of information however I still have a lot of questions I'm new to real estate and more then midway through my course material and passed the first 2 courses if all go's well I'm excited to be licensed early - mid December.

So the Lender will either need to price the loan package to cover the perceived risk, or pass on it altogether (more likely the latter, as it sounds like you've experienced).I know you're just starting out, but really focus on building a strong, trusting relationship with a lender.
