Also know your state laws regarding handling of security deposits, etc.

I handle most myself, get others as needed.

My advice would be to call various title and/or escrow companies in your area to see which one of them have handled this type of transaction before.

I had an agent that I used for the past 4 years but think I can get better rates. 2) can anyone recommend a good tax person that handles property taxes under a business and personal as well.

Find a good lawyer who handles them all the time.

A group of them were handled by Citizens Community Bank, based out of virginia. 

Not only is she my daughter, when we lived in Redding, she was the Broker that handled the sales of our subdivision along with her agents.
