What job(s) would best teach someone the skills/knowledge necessary to be a successful real estate investor?

House hacking single fam or small multi fam properties is an excellent, relatively simple strategy to get started in RE investing--and it will teach you some invaluable lessons that you can use in the future if you ever work your way up to more advanced strategies (like BRRR'ing).

We learn best when we teach, so good job. 

Hopefully this will teach them to be more aware of leaks and it will benefit both of you.   

Once the guru's start teaching it, you're already too late. 

There is a third type of money out there, and I think it's more appropriate for what many RE Investing courses and Gurus teach and that's called Private Money or "OPM". 

I'm teaching myself underwriting while also getting help from a syndication team out of Ohio.

It is teaching me that maybe I should wait a few years and build up equity before cashing out.

When I see people chime in about taking a class on syndication - I get a lot of negative feedback because I tell people there is no class that can teach you how to manage a syndication.

But, it wouldn't hurt to split it just to get something and teach them a lesson.
