Biggest down side is that the majority of condo owners hate renters and rightly so since they have invested their money in a home and some one has come in and treated the building as a renters apartment complex.As a investor expect to have issues with the HOA regarding your tenants disrespecting the HOA rules and anticipate fee hikes and special assessments that can go into the thousands.
