church
I am negotiating with a church that wants to rent 60% of the space in a commercial property I own. What pitfalls are there with renting to a church? Since they are a non-profit organization if I discount the rent below the market value can I gain a tax advantage? Since they want to rent a majority of the property is there a way I can reduce my property taxes? Since they only need the structure on Wednesday night and Sunday morning what other kinds of organizations or business would benefit from sharing the space during regular business hours?
