Now what governments are trying to avoid is if the health care system in a country gets overwhelmed with many more people who’ve contracted the virus at once, the quality of care is spread thin thus fatality rate percentages could possibly* increase amongst a greater populations at risk, and shortage of medical supplies could play its own role (if that were to happen)- this would be a pandemic situation if no attempts to control the virus are in place and if it escalated quickly (which could happen with any virus).Economic affects: well that’s debatable but clearly statistics already show impacts.
