So I go there to get the checks and drain the coins out of the laundry machines, I don’t mind the activity and often meet a tenant or two.

@Ryan McKelvey i guess I'm not clear why BP's lease would be good for my own rental but not for another..........in my mind its either a strong contract or its not.

The property inspection is still pending, but I figure any issues that come up can be negotiated to a certain extent.Also, keep in mind that this property is located in California, just two hours from where I live.

I am told that after the work season tames down it will be closer to 30 hours per week doing some estimating in the office which might change my mind set on leaving so as soon as possible. 

However keep in mind that those loans are for people that intend to owner occupy.

I didn’t really have an idea how business works, my mind set was more of the appreciation and equity.So now its been a month since i have started reading here and listening to all the podcast regarding real estate investing.

I didn’t mind her asking at all, after all, if you don’t ask your answer is always no. 

But some lenders are more willing to work with folks in your situation vs. the typical lender who's never seen a case like yours and is stupidly "suspicious" because you don't fit in the box that they have in their mind for a typical borrower. 

Good lesson I'll have to keep that in mind when if I ever have the situation come up!
