If I were you I'd be stalking their social media to see if you can get any additional insight into what they are like as people.

You can use bigger pockets, meetup.com (for real estate networking events and listings), craiglist (for listings), twitter, and other free social sites to get started.

While processing a recent application, I did my normal social media search.

Do your own homework, do demographic studies on the social anchors, on the job industry in the area, on schools, even churches in the area...

Although, if you're used to Facebook and other social media sites, you should get along just fine.

I certainly would NOT consider these contractors for your "massive" job unless and until they corrected this project to your satisfaction (doubtful since you paid them already) .... even if they have to work overnight to complete the job the way that it should have been done in the first place.If they won't correct the problem, find other contractors.As mentioned, word of mouth and social media are your friends in this situation.Good Luck
