A work around option would be a fire alarm system with multiple smoke detectors throughout the property but then you have to involve an engineer, fire alarm/security company, in some places an electrician to install the work, local fire marshal, additional monthly service fees and/or contracts.

Rant On====you get the value you pay for - - cheap is cheap and free(meaning no expense to you) is worthless.No money down is hyperbole and done with smoke & mirrors.Without your cash in the game, you can afford to be careless and just walk away when things get tough - - and you only learn to "walk away" instead of how to solve problems and/or avoid them altogether.No one gets to play poker without an ante, so man-up, ante-up and put your neck out - - risk will make you more careful and force you to learn.

Happens all the time.If a tenant moves out (goes dark), ceases operations, etc., most landlords, and leases, consider that an event of default and must follow procedures to recapture the space.Joel is correct.
