The best thing you can do, is just a good employer and keep them on track, keep checking up on the progress, be quick on any questions or concerns that come up.

What if a major employer in the Portland area shut down causing a regional issue?

I have decent credit 690 and its only that because my schooling goes on my credit card until I get reimbursed through my employer (local bank).
