Possibly not but you are relying on appreciation to do well on this investment.  

Also, much of Jackson is in a flood zone, so you need flood insurance as well.

Certainly replacing a furnace and/or a water heater would require a permit as well as running a new or replacing a duct run.

I’m sure there’s people on this forum that have experience with buying in the pocono area or surrounding areas, and would love their insight or knowledge of what they think the best way to go about this is.
