@Scott Trench    OK  lets take long term... buy a home in Cupertino or Palo Alto in 1995 for 450k and apple stock at what ever it was at.homes have tripled to quadrupled in the last 20 years and of course 100 to 200k of apple stock back then is probably worth 10 to 30X  not a stock guy but I bet its somewhere.that I why silicon valley is what it is.. no need to go any further than there.get a high paying job... buy the right company stock buy a personal resi  HOLD for 20 to 30 years retire rich.. nothing more nothing less

My son will be closing on the 15th, if not sooner.  

We bought 20 acres and built a house where our son and friends could ride motorcycles.

Have an application for a tenant where the mother wants to pay the rent for her son and girlfriend and be on the lease with them.

Coworker bought for her son when he attended college, has had some renters in there for past few years but she lives very far away and would really just like her equity out of the home to do things to her primary.

I still tend to my little herb garden, but it is looking a little shabby.What do they say about the cobbler's son has no shoes?
